This upgrade reinforces critical areas of your armor with extra defensive plates, granting you a fortification ability, which gives a 60% chance that a critical hit is treated as a normal attack, dealing normal damage and not applying any critical effect.. The fortification granted by fortified plates doesn't stack with a force field's fortification or other similar abilities. You roll your fortification percentage chance before the critical hit's damage is rolled.
