Cacophonous
A cacophonous weapon creates a disruptive, sonic resonance that dazzles the crew and drowns out communications. Creatures on a starship that take damage from a cacophonous weapon take a –1 penalty to crew actions for 1 round, and the penalty increases to –4 for captain actions. Any creatures resistant to sonic damage or sonic effects reduce this penalty by 1, and any creatures immune to sonic damage or sonic effects are unaffected.
