Benefit
The first time you fail to disable a trap or explosive device by 5 or more you can choose not to trigger it and instead damage it in such a way that further tampering is more difficult. Increase the DC to disable the device by 5. Any further checks to disable the device that fail by any amount cause it to trigger.
